On June 5, 2006 an email from an unknown cousin brought part of the Walker family back into the fold. Lois Catherine Walker left home when she was only a teenager and had no contact with any of her family from the age of 20 until her death in 2000. Unbeknownst to her and her family her brother, Melvin, had a daughter who promised her dad before his death that she would find out what happened to his sister.

Labor Day weekend, 2006 Catherine's three daughters and her grand daughter met two of her brothers, her sister, and several of their children at a Walker Family Reunion in Dallas City IL.
